Jon and I had a dinner last night with all our God Children (Roman, Rachel, and Hadley) and their family's......which total 11 children and 6 Parents! A very full house! We now know that we can have that many kids in our house at once :)
My favorite quote of the night...Jon: " so is this one of the party's where you clean your house and then after everyone leaves you have to clean up even more?" me: "yes! especially since there are 11 children in our house! " .....he cracks me up! He is an amazing husband to do this party and make dinner for us!!! ( he made the BEST pork!!!)!
GOD IS GOOD! ALL THE TIME!!! ALL THE TIME!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!! Last night I realized that we are very blessed with many, many family's and friends!!! THANK YOU LORD!!

Jon and I started a finance class.......I never thought that I would ever say that out of my mouth (1st of all i hate math and 2nd i hate class's)............It is AWESOME! so far we have had 3 classes (the first one we accidentally missed!!) but with our kit we paid for came all the audio c.d's from the DVD's. We have learned so much.....i new most of this info so far but it puts it in practical situations and why you and your spouse should both do the finances!!!! there reasoning is God pulled you together for a reason (opposites attract....you should compliment each other, like one person is better then the other in all different situations!!!) like for instance I love organizing and being a nerd (Dave Ramsey uses that term nerd and free spirit) and taking control, but Jon can too.......were we compliment each other ...i started to get overwhelmed when we started doing our budget...so Jon took over but then was wanting me to tell him what goes where.....(it was like he was hiding the hole page from me so i wouldn't get over whelmed and going budget by budget (he didn't even know he was doing it!)
This class not only tells you that you can get out of debt but also encourages Christian morals, family focus, and how to grow as a couple!!!
We have also met some great couples in this group (there is about 6 couples and 2 singles).....they are great support, no judging, and comfortable to share your Christian points!!! I RECOMMEND THIS CLASS TO EVERYONE!!!!! In our world today we are brought up to think we have to have what our parents had plus more.....but less work!! Dave Ramsey's view is you have to work hard to be a success!! We need to teach our children that!!! We were also brought up to think that credit cards are the best thing ever (I thank GOD and my parents) that i only had one credit card and that i didn't go to crazy with it!!!!
What Jon and I want to work on
1.) baby step one...put a $1000 into saving (emergency savings) because emergency's do happen!!!
2.) pay off debt (debt snowball)
3.) start saving for things we want (no more impulse buys just because we have the money!!!)
4.)make more of our dinners less eating out!!
5.) start saving for our children's future and retirement (its really hard for me to think of the future when today's society is all about NOW and ME! ME! ME!)
JON AND I ARE VERY THANKFUL FOR TAKING THIS CLASS....especially since we FINALLY get our first home buyers $8,000 back in the next 2 months....if we would have got this money before the class we were going to use the money to remodel our kitchen....but know we are going to get rid of some of our debt!!!! That is really hard for me to do because i am use to.....I want it done now!!!! How selfish of me....but Jon and i have learned to talk money better and share our differences and by us Fighting...i mean talking through everything we not only think about our future family but our spouse!!!
