well lets just say yesterday and today was crazy going to the hospital......so the interesting thing is it takes 1hour too 2 hours to get to the hospital and the childrens hospital!!!! The bus we take is a cross between a bus and a van very small but they squeeze as many people into one bus as they can!!!!! Lets just say im glad i bought alot of motion sickness medicine, they stop and go every 2 seconds....i think i could get whip lash...ok....may be not...but you get the point!!!! They are very touchy people so on the buses it doesn´t bother them that there butt is on my face.....they don´t have personal space (like christina likes). so i had to carry and hold the children that cant walk because they have casts on both of their legs or just has one leg. since the ride takes so long most of the kids get there naps in on the bus! It´s good for me because i don´t know how i would entertain them for 2hours when i can´t speak spanish and i cant move very well because im crammed in a seat! Then once we get to the hospital we have to wait in the waitingroom (you may and may not get in that day...wich sucks!) but we only waited 1hour and a half and all the kids we brought, got in!!!!!! Then we have to ride the bus home (another 1hour!!!). Going to the hospital takes forever...we leave early in the morning and don´t get back till 1:30!!!!!
so today i had a little girl that has only one working leg....and she fell asleep in my lap and later i realized that ...yes....she does have head lice.....so what do i do......i do nothing i let her sleep and pray that i don´t get it!!!!!! I know im a mean person but i couldn´t be mean and not let her sleep!
The kids are starting to learn my name slowly....im still seƱyoreta to most of them...there is so many kids there.......i asked the Dr. (when we go to mass together every night) if he has ever turned a child away because there is no room and he said that the older children no but babys yes because you can´t put more then one baby in a crib at a time. and if the children aren´t sick he can´t take them or keep them since the home is for sick children only!
I will tell you, if you have ever worked in a daycare....this is 10 times harder.....this works your mind and your body!!!! my back and legs and abs are getting a work out from picking up the children and bring them up and down the stairs!!!!
Today i was left alone with 2 younger kids and 2 older kids and lets just say good thing i have a good mad face and i know the word sit down in spanish because i wouln´d have had any control over them!!!!!!! I need a nap!!!!!!

I'm glad things are going well for you. Mary has printed off your blogs so the girls at work can read them.
By the way, I'm not missing you yet. :)
You are doing such a good job! Love you so much!
Chrissy! I'm so proud of you! And you did find a one-legged kiddo! Remember...left leg only! Sounds like you're doing great!
